This web site (also called a portal) is a member driven online community offering news, content, and Web based services of common interests to it's members and visitors. Based on common domain affiliation between members, higher search engine indexing can be more easily achieved. As membership grows, traffic, rankings, and indexing grows. The idea of members helping members becomes a reality.

Will I receive Spam or unsolicited e-mail?

No. This community does NOT tolerate Spam (unsolicited e-mail). We do not sell, rent, or solicit member names, information, or e-mail addresses. We also do not permit obnoxious pop-ups or banner ads. This is one of the many benefits that set's us apart from other online communities.

How long have you been in business?

We have been in business since 1997 and remain healthy and debt free today (despite the recent industry wide dot com failures). We can remain debt free and stay in business by charging fair competitive prices for Internet services that require resources and overhead.

Why do you charge for some services and not others?
|
|
|
Some services that require very little overhead we do not charge for. Other Internet services that utilize resources like Web hosting, bundled E-mail accounts, and Domain Name registration services, we charge enough to cover our costs so we can remain in business long term. While these prices are near our cost, they are still priced so we can always provide premium services to members and avoid being forced to supplement revenues with obnoxious banner advertisements or your e-mail inbox with Spam (unsolicited e-mail).

How many members belong to this community?

Some of our communities (owned by CompBiz, Inc.) have over 20,000 members. This community is new (launched September 2001). Depending when you join, you may find that you are one of few. Do not let this be discouraging, as new members early on can help shape the direction of services and content offered. For example, new members will be offered opportunities to start and moderate their own threaded discussion forums, articles, advice columns, and other items/services that would be of interest to all members at large.
